I forgot to tell you...

Last night when we talked I forgot to tell you my exciting news.... I bought a new digital camera! Here's how it all worked out: Grandpa bought a Nikon D40 at Thanksgiving time. Remember? Then he found out that Costco had a D60 for about the same price or less, I don't remember which. Anyways, he tried to get me or Brooks to buy the D40 from him so he could buy the D60. Brooks wanted to hold out for the D60, which he bought yesterday, and I couldn't afford to buy his camera. Well, yesterday he called me saying he bought the D60 and wanted to sell me his D40 with all the extras he bought with it for $400. I couldn't refuse that! You know Gramps, I'm just like him... when he buys something he always gets all the goods to go with. I can't wait. Next Saturday, we are all taking a trip to Redding, Gramps has hired someone to give us lessons on using our camera's.

So last night, Brooks, Andrea, the boys, Tyler and Jen all came over for the enchilada dinner I was suppose to make last week when you were here. It was nice getting together. We decided (Andrea's idea actually) that we are going to have a family dinner at least every other week, but try for once a week. She thinks I am getting out of practice cooking.

Guess another thing... I know you can probably tell, I'm a little hyper this morning. Tyler and Jen are going to Church with Dad and I! I didn't even have to twist his arm or anything. Pretty neat huh? Pray Ky. I love you babe and will talk to you soon.

All By Myself!

I was going to have you help me change my blog template when you were home but you were so busy (that's not a complaint :)) I completely forgot. I figured it out all on my own! I changed the main part last night, went to sleep to think on how to change the inside parts, at some point during the night, had that ah, ha moment, tried it when I awoke, and now you see the results. This techie stuff is so fun. Well, I just wanted to share that with you, I'm sure you are rolling your eyes right about now, but I bet your heart is glad at the same time. I know, I'm weird. I love you and will be thinking about you today as you have all your camp meetings and find out what your assignment is going to be. I pray you are not the one to be out in the elements shoveling snow. That would stink!

I need to go get your room ready for your brothers return. What exactly does that mean...you ask? It doesn't matter, when you come home in March you will hardly know the difference.(wink wink ;))

You left today!

Well Ky, We just got home from leaving you in Sacramento. This is the part I hate. Driving up to the house, seeing your car in the drive, knowing that's where it will sit until you come home, or I decide to drive it, then going inside to a very silent greeting. The first couple of days will probably be the hardest. Dad reminds me to enjoy the quiet now, 'cuz tomorrow it all changes (Tyler moves back tomorrow).

I know it was hard this morning to leave, it was hard for me too. But I also know (I feel that you do to), that WOLBI is where you need to be right now. Dad and I were talking on the way home, about what an awesome opportunity you have to just study God's Word this year and grow closer to Him. The foundation you are building will be so firm and strong. You will have that forever and will use Gods truths as you go through life's many challenges. You will also be that encourager to others God will bring into your life. Soak it in Ky. Bloom where you are planted. We will be here when you come home. I love you Mic
